We are seeking a Senior Go-Lang Engineer to join our client, a stealth-mode North American Web3 startup. This company is backed by top-tier investors and is building critical core infrastructure for the Bitcoin network. As one of the first 10 engineering hires, you will play a key role in the development and maintenance of decentralized applications and services using the Cosmos SDK, contributing to core blockchain development projects.

This is a fully remote role, though some overlap with EST time zones will be required. You will be responsible for translating protocol specifications into Go code, building infrastructure solutions, and working with the Cosmos SDK to design new features based on Bitcoin protocol specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect, build, and maintain decentralized applications and services using the Cosmos SDK.
• Read and understand protocol specifications, breaking them down into issues and turning them into Cosmos modules using Go.
• Design and implement new features for Bitcoin and Cosmos-based applications.
• Maintain and monitor AWS infrastructure (EC2 instances, ELB, VPCs, RDS, S3, Lambda, etc.).
• Create and maintain up-to-date technical documentation.
• Develop and implement testing strategies, including unit tests, integration tests, and performance tests.
• Collaborate with the team, proactively share knowledge, and write clean and effective documentation and comments.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 8+ years of software development experience, with at least 3 years using the Cosmos SDK.
• Proficiency in the Go programming language, including knowledge of Go paradigms, constructs, and idioms.
• Experience in distributed systems, consensus algorithms, networking models, and broadcast algorithms.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerization/orchestration technologies.
• Knowledge of system design in Go and the effective usage of debugging tools.
• Basic understanding of cryptography and its applications.
• Experience working on open-source software projects.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a remote work environment.

Bonus Qualifications:

• Experience working with blockchain protocols or highly distributed systems.
• Familiarity with Amazon AWS infrastructure management.
• Previous experience working with high-tech companies or clients in India or the US.
